Who is BBCEvents?

Balmoral Beach Club Events Pty Ltd (BBCE) is a not for profit organisation set up by the Balmoral Beach Club to run the clubs charity and community events. All directors are voluntary positions and all are members of the Balmoral Beach Club. 

Who benefits from money raised?

The BBCE currently supports two charities, The Children's Cancer Institute (via the Balmoral Swim) and Melanoma Institute Australia (via the Erik Mather 2,4,6km swim).

Does Balmoral Beach Club gain financially from BBCE?

No, BBCE is a separate entity with a constitution such that all money raised goes towards not-for-profit purposes. If the company was wound up any outstanding money would go to a not-for-profit

What events does BBCE hold?

There are two charity swims that the are held by BBCE, The Balmoral Swim for Cancer which is open to everyone and the Erik Mather 2, 4, 6km swim which is only open to Balmoral Beach Club members and their guests. We also run the Balmoral Nippers program which is open to all children.

I am not a Balmoral Beach Club member, can I swim in the Erik Mather 2, 4, 6km swim?

The Erik Mather 2, 4, 6km swim is only open to Balmoral Beach Club members and their guests, you will need to be invited to the swim by a Balmoral Beach Club member,  We do hold another event (BalmoralSwim) which is open to everyone

I am not a Balmoral Beach Club member, can my children join the Balmoral Nippers program?

The Balmoral Nippers program is open to all children. The program is very popular and there is a limit on the numbers of children that can participate each year. For details on how to register look at the Balmoral Nippers web-site

Where do the fees charged in the Balmoral Nippers go?

The Balmoral Nippers program is a not-for-profit program. The income charged as fees goes towards covering the cost of running the Balmoral Nippers Program, for example: lifeguards, education, first aid support, nippers kit and equipment (which is replaced on a regular basis).
