This Statement of Privacy applies to the BBCE website and online tools (BBCE Fundraising Platform) and governs data collection and usage. By using the BBCE Fundraising Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

BBCE respects the right of users to remain anonymous and will endeavour not to knowingly disclose user identities unless the BBCE believes, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with law, (ii) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements or (iii) protect the rights, property or safety of our users, or others.
Information you give to us
When you use the BBCE Fundraising Platform as a fundraiser, registrant, or create an account as a donor we collect some “personal information”. This information includes your name, email address and phone numbers as well as some other demographic information. If you are making a donation using a credit card, BBCE may collect the information required to complete the transaction. BBCE use your payment details for the purpose of processing your donation ourselves or via a card-processing contractor.
Information we get from you when you use the BBCE Fundraising Platform
There is information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by BBCE. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used by the BBCE for the operation of the BBCE Fundraising Platform, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the BBCE Fundraising Platform.
Information we collect when you donate
If you do not want your name to be publicly associated with your donation, please use the “Anonymous” function when filling in the donation. Your name will always be passed on to the Not-For-Profit Organisation (NFP) to which you are donating but, if you have made an anonymous donation, your name will not appear in the fundraiser’s page. Please also note that only your donation amount will be visible, your name will be represented with 'Anonymous'.
Use of Cookies
The BBCE Fundraising Platform uses "cookies" to help you personalise your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies.
